Eddie was known as “The Emperor” – he was a dominant force in British time trialing in the seventies
Gathering parts….
Eddie won the National 25 Mile Time Trial Championships three times – 1977 1978 & 1979
….and he did using this frame! Eddie and Janet did not ask for any money for the frame but rather asked for a donation to Muscular Dystrophy UK
Here it sits on our workbench…..

Eddie Adkins’ Championship Winning Jack Hearne : Built – but not finished!

There are a few details that are not quite right yet – but I will be working on them – for example I have noticed the brake levers are a tiny bit too high, 64 rather than 66 bars, need some Omas alloy bolts… 

Have gone with 28 spoke wheels and large flange hubs but with GP4 rims and road tyres – simply so it’s more rideable – and I hope Ed will be able to ride it again before too long!
